¹⁴ ‘When you see the abomination of desolation^[a](A) standing where it should not be’ (let the reader understand), ‘then those in Judea^(B) must flee to the mountains.

¹⁵ And he told them, ‘You are the ones who justify^(A) yourselves in the sight of others, but God knows your hearts.^(B) For what is highly admired by people is revolting^(C) in God’s sight.

²⁷ Nothing unclean will ever enter it,^(A) nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those written in the Lamb’s book of life.^(B)
