⁴¹ Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.’

¹³ After the devil had finished every temptation, he departed from him for a time.

⁴⁰ When he reached the place,^(A) he told them, ‘Pray that you may not fall into temptation.’^(B)

⁴⁶ ‘Why are you sleeping? ’ he asked them. ‘Get up and pray, so that you won’t fall into temptation.’

¹³ No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But God is faithful;^(A) he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide the way out^(B) so that you may be able to bear it.
