¹⁶ When Jesus was baptised, he went up immediately from the water. The heavens^(A) suddenly opened for him,^[a] and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down onto him.^(B)

⁵¹ Then he said, ‘Truly I tell you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God^(A) ascending and descending^(B) on the Son of Man.’^(C)
