²² But I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother or sister^[a] will be subject to judgement. Whoever insults^[b] his brother or sister will be subject to the court.^[c] Whoever says, “You fool! ” will be subject to hellfire.^[d](A)

⁵ But I will show you the one to fear: Fear^(A) him who has authority to throw people into hell^(B) after death. Yes, I say to you, this is the one to fear!

³¹ It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.^(A)
