⁶ let your eyes be open and your ears be attentive^(A) to hear your servant’s prayer that I now pray to you day and night^(B) for your servants, the Israelites. I confess the sins^[a] we have committed against you. Both I and my father’s family have sinned.^(C)

⁴ I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed:

Ah, Lord – the great and awe-inspiring God^(A) who keeps his gracious covenant^(B) with those who love him^(C) and keep his commands^(D) –
