¹⁸ For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter^[a] or one stroke of a letter will pass away from the law until all things are accomplished.

¹⁷ But it is easier^(A) for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter in the law to drop out.

²³ because you have been born again^(A) – not of perishable seed^(B) but of imperishable – through the living and enduring word of God.^(C)

And this word is the gospel that was proclaimed to you.
