³³ I didn’t know him, but he who sent me to baptise with water told me, “The one you see the Spirit descending and resting on – he is the one who baptises with the Holy Spirit.”^(A)

⁴ Then they were all filled^(A) with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues,^[a] as the Spirit enabled them.^(B)

³⁸ Peter replied, ‘Repent^(A) and be baptised,^(B) each of you, in the name^(C) of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

⁹ You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.^(A) If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ,^(B) he does not belong to him.
