⁴ May he vindicate the afflicted among the people,
help the poor,
and crush the oppressor.^(A)

⁵ Remove the wicked from the king’s presence,^(A)
and his throne will be established in righteousness.^(B)

⁴ but he will judge the poor righteously^(A)
and execute justice for the oppressed of the land.
He will strike the land
with a sceptre^[a] from his mouth,^(B)
and he will kill the wicked^(C)
with a command^[b] from his lips.^(D)
