Jewish Violation of the Law

¹⁷ Now if^[a] you call yourself a Jew, and rely on the law,^(A) and boast in God,

²³ You who boast in the law,^(A) do you dishonour God by breaking the law?^[a]

² If Abraham was justified^[a] by works,^(A) he has something to boast about – but not before God.

²⁹ so that no one^[a] may boast in his presence.^{(A) 30} It is from him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom from God for us – our righteousness,^(B) sanctification,^(C) and redemption^(D) –  ³¹ in order that, as it is written:^(E) Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.^[b](F)
