Romans 6:4-6

⁴ Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death,^(A) in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead^(B) by the glory of the Father,^(C) so we too may walk in newness^[a] of life.^{(D) 5} For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death,^(E) we will certainly also be^[b] in the likeness of his resurrection. ⁶ For we know that our old self^[c](F) was crucified with him^(G) so that the body ruled by sin^[d] might be rendered powerless,^(H) so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin,
