Wisdom 1:7-9

⁷ For the spirit of the Lord fills the world,
    and that which holds all things together is well aware of everything that is said.^[a]
8 Therefore, no one who utters wicked thoughts will escape detection,
    nor will justice, in its chastisement, pass him by.
⁹ For the schemes of the wicked man will be investigated,
    and the sound of his words will reach the Lord
    to convict him of his transgressions,
