12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. 13 Since that time He has been waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has forever perfected those who are sanctified.

15 The Holy Spirit also witnesses to us about this. For after saying,

16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them
    after those days, says the Lord:
I will put My laws into their hearts,
    and in their minds I will write them,”[a]

17 then He adds,

“Their sins and lawless deeds
    will I remember no more.”[b]

18 Now where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.

Exhortation and Warning

19 Therefore, brothers, we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way that He has opened for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh, 21 and since we have a High Priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse them from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
