Psalm 105:10-23

¹⁰ Then He ^(A)confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
¹¹ Saying, “^(B)To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the ^[a](C)portion of your inheritance,”
¹² When they were only a ^(D)few men in number,
Of little account, and ^(E)sojourners in it.
¹³ And they wandered about from nation to nation,
From one kingdom to another people.
¹⁴ He ^(F)permitted no man to oppress them,
And He ^(G)reproved kings for their sakes:
¹⁵ “^(H)Do not touch My anointed ones,
And to My prophets do no evil.”

¹⁶ And He ^(I)called for a famine upon the land;
He ^(J)broke the whole staff of bread.
¹⁷ He ^(K)sent a man before them,
Joseph, who was ^(L)sold as a slave.
¹⁸ They afflicted his ^(M)feet with fetters,
^[b]He himself was laid in irons;
¹⁹ Until the time that his ^(N)word came to pass,
The word of Yahweh ^(O)refined him.
²⁰ The ^(P)king sent and released him,
The ruler of peoples sent and set him free.
²¹ He ^(Q)set him up as lord of his house
And ruler over all his possessions,
²² To ^[c]imprison his princes ^[d](R)at will,
And that he might teach his elders wisdom.
^23 (S)Then Israel came to Egypt;
And Jacob ^(T)sojourned in the land of Ham.
