Psalm 105:10-23
Legacy Standard Bible
10 Then He (A)confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 Saying, “(B)To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the [a](C)portion of your inheritance,”
12 When they were only a (D)few men in number,
Of little account, and (E)sojourners in it.
13 And they wandered about from nation to nation,
From one kingdom to another people.
14 He (F)permitted no man to oppress them,
And He (G)reproved kings for their sakes:
15 “(H)Do not touch My anointed ones,
And to My prophets do no evil.”
16 And He (I)called for a famine upon the land;
He (J)broke the whole staff of bread.
17 He (K)sent a man before them,
Joseph, who was (L)sold as a slave.
18 They afflicted his (M)feet with fetters,
[b]He himself was laid in irons;
19 Until the time that his (N)word came to pass,
The word of Yahweh (O)refined him.
20 The (P)king sent and released him,
The ruler of peoples sent and set him free.
21 He (Q)set him up as lord of his house
And ruler over all his possessions,
22 To [c]imprison his princes [d](R)at will,
And that he might teach his elders wisdom.
23 (S)Then Israel came to Egypt;
And Jacob (T)sojourned in the land of Ham.
