⁹ Then the Lord said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach (derision, ridicule) of Egypt from you.” So the name of that place is called Gilgal (rolling) to this day.

²⁶ Then they piled up over him a great heap of stones that remains to this day. Then the Lord turned from the fierceness of His anger. Therefore the name of that place has been called the Valley of Achor (Disaster) to this day.

²⁶ The man went into the ^[a]land of the Hittites and built a city and named it Luz, which is its name to this day.

¹⁹ So God split open the hollow place that was at Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his spirit (strength) returned and he was revived. Therefore he named it En-hakkore (spring which is calling), which is at Lehi to this day.

¹² They went up and camped at Kiriath-jearim in Judah. Therefore they have called that place ^[a]Mahaneh-dan to this day; it is west of Kiriath-jearim.

⁷ Amaziah killed 10,000 [men] of Edom in the Valley of Salt, and took ^[a]Sela (rock) by war, and renamed it Joktheel, to this day.
