Nehemiah 7:73-8:3

73 The priests, Levites, gatekeepers, temple singers, some of the people, temple servants, and all Israel settled in their towns.(A)
Public Reading of the Law
When the seventh month(B) came and the Israelites had settled in their towns, 8 1 all the people gathered together(C) at the square in front of the Water Gate.(D) They asked the scribe Ezra(E) to bring the book of the law of Moses(F) that the Lord had given to Israel. 2 On the first day of the seventh month,(G) the priest Ezra(H) brought the law(I) before the assembly of men, women, and all who could listen with understanding. 3 While he was facing the square in front of the Water Gate,(J) he read out of it from daybreak until noon before the men, the women, and those who could understand. All the people listened attentively[a] to the book of the law.(K)
