5 王回答迦勒底人说：“梦我已经忘了[a]，你们若不将梦和梦的讲解告诉我，就必被凌迟，你们的房屋必成为粪堆。 6 你们若将梦和梦的讲解告诉我，就必从我这里得赠品和赏赐并大尊荣。现在你们要将梦和梦的讲解告诉我。” 7 他们第二次对王说：“请王将梦告诉仆人，仆人就可以讲解。”

5 The king replied to the astrologers, “This is what I have firmly decided:(A) If you do not tell me what my dream was and interpret it, I will have you cut into pieces(B) and your houses turned into piles of rubble.(C) 6 But if you tell me the dream and explain it, you will receive from me gifts and rewards and great honor.(D) So tell me the dream and interpret it for me.”
7 Once more they replied, “Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will interpret it.”
