24 眾人把城和城中的一切都用火燒了；只有金銀和銅鐵的器皿都放入耶和華聖所的庫房裡。 25 約書亞卻放過妓女喇合和她的父家，以及她所有的一切；她住在以色列中，直到今日，因為她收藏了約書亞派去窺探耶利哥的使者。
凡重建耶利哥城的必受咒詛
26 那時，約書亞要人民起誓，說：“起來重建這耶利哥城的，那人在耶和華面前是可咒可詛的；他立地基的時候必喪長子；他安城門的時候必失幼子。”

New International Version
24 Then they burned the whole city(A) and everything in it, but they put the silver and gold and the articles of bronze and iron(B) into the treasury of the Lord’s house.(C) 25 But Joshua spared(D) Rahab the prostitute,(E) with her family and all who belonged to her, because she hid the men Joshua had sent as spies to Jericho(F)—and she lives among the Israelites to this day.
26 At that time Joshua pronounced this solemn oath:(G) “Cursed(H) before the Lord is the one who undertakes to rebuild this city, Jericho:
“At the cost of his firstborn son
he will lay its foundations;
at the cost of his youngest
he will set up its gates.”(I)
