¹⁴我竟變成了一個像是不能聽見的人，

變成了一個口中不能反駁的人。

¹⁵耶和華啊！我等候你；

主我的　神啊！你必應允我。

¹⁶因為我曾說：“恐怕他們向我誇耀；

我的腳滑跌的時候，不要讓他們向我誇口。”

¹⁴I have become like one who does not hear,
    whose mouth can offer no reply.
¹⁵Lord, I wait^(A) for you;
    you will answer,^(B) Lord my God.
¹⁶For I said, “Do not let them gloat^(C)
    or exalt themselves over me when my feet slip.”^(D)
