³ Then let’s bring back the ark of our God, for we did not enquire of him^[a](A) in Saul’s days.’ ⁴ Since the proposal seemed right to all the people, the whole assembly agreed to do it.

⁵ So David assembled all Israel,^(B) from the Shihor of Egypt to the entrance of Hamath,^[b](C) to bring the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim.^(D)
