⁹ But a son will be born to you; he will be a man of rest. I will give him rest from all his surrounding enemies,^(A) for his name will be Solomon,^[a](B) and I will give peace and quiet to Israel during his reign.^(C)

²⁵ For David said, ‘The Lord God of Israel has given rest to his people,^(A) and he has come to stay in Jerusalem for ever.
