²⁸ ‘but their duty will be to assist the descendants of Aaron with the service of the Lord’s temple, being responsible for the courts and the chambers, the purification of all the holy things, and the work of the service of God’s temple – 

⁵ He said to them, ‘Hear me, Levites. Consecrate yourselves^(A) now and consecrate the temple of the Lord, the God of your ancestors. Remove everything impure from the holy place.

³⁰ So I purified them from everything foreign^(A) and assigned specific duties to each of the priests and Levites.^(B)
