¹² we labour, working^(A) with our own hands.^(B) When we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;

⁴ Therefore, we ourselves boast^(A) about you among God’s churches – about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and afflictions that you are enduring.

¹² Blessed is the one who endures trials, because when he has stood the test he will receive the crown^(A) of life that God^[a] has promised to those who love him.^(B)
