Ang Salita ng Diyos
5 Sapagkat maraming mga tinatawag na diyos sa langit man o sa lupa, maraming diyos, maraming panginoon. 6 Subalit para sa atin iisa lamang ang Diyos, ang Ama. Sa kaniya nagmula ang lahat ng mga bagay at tayo ay para sa kaniya. Iisa lamang ang Panginoong Jesucristo. Sa pamamagitan niya nagmula ang lahat ng mga bagay at tayo ay nabubuhay sa pamamagitanniya.
7 Subalit hindi lahat ay may kaalaman. Dahil sa kanilang budhi patungkol sa mga diyos-diyosan, hanggang ngayon ay may ilang tao na kapag kinakain nila ang mga bagay na ito, iniisip nilang iyon ay inihain sa diyos-diyosan. At dahil mahihina ang kanilang budhi, iyon ay nadudungisan.

5 For even if there are so-called gods,(A) whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”), 6 yet for us there is but one God,(B) the Father,(C) from whom all things came(D) and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord,(E) Jesus Christ, through whom all things came(F) and through whom we live.
7 But not everyone possesses this knowledge.(G) Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat sacrificial food they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god, and since their conscience is weak,(H) it is defiled.
