¹³ Yet I will not tear the entire kingdom away from him. I will give one tribe to your son^(A) for the sake of my servant David and for the sake of Jerusalem that I chose.’

³² but one tribe will remain his for the sake of my servant David^(A) and for the sake of Jerusalem, the city I chose out of all the tribes of Israel.^(B)

³⁶ I will give one tribe^(A) to his son,^(B) so that my servant David will always have a lamp^[a] before me^(C) in Jerusalem, the city I chose for myself to put my name there.^(D)
