¹⁶ (Joab and all Israel had remained there for six months until he had destroyed all the males in Edom),

¹⁷ then this Hadad fled, and certain other Edomites of his father’s servants with him, to go into Egypt (Hadad still being a little child).

¹⁸ And they arose out of Midian and came to Paran and took men with them out of Paran and came to Egypt, to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, who gave him a house and apportioned him food and gave him land.
