¹⁵ the Lord will strike Israel as a reed is shaken in the water, and ^(A)root up Israel out of ^(B)this good land that he gave to their fathers and scatter them ^(C)beyond the Euphrates,^[a] because they have made their ^(D)Asherim, provoking the Lord to anger.

^20 (A)then I will pluck you^[a] up from my land that I have given you, and this house that I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it ^(B)a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

¹⁴ Thus says the Lord concerning all ^(A)my evil neighbors ^(B)who touch the heritage that ^(C)I have given my people Israel to inherit: “Behold, I will pluck them up from their land, and I will pluck up the house of Judah from among them.
