²⁶ So they took the bull that he gave them, prepared it, and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, ‘Baal, answer us! ’ But there was no sound;^(A) no one answered. Then they danced^[a] around the altar they had made.

² Do not be hasty to speak, and do not be impulsive to make a speech before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.^(A)
