³⁷ Then he found another man, and said, “Strike me, please!” And the man struck him. And in smiting, wounded him.

³⁸ So, the Prophet departed and waited for the king by the road and disguised himself with ashes upon his face.

³⁹ And when the king came by, he cried to the king, and said, “Your servant went into the midst of the battle, and behold, there went away a man whom another man brought to me, and said, ‘Guard this man. If he is lost for any reason, your life shall go for his life, or else you shall pay a talent of silver.’
