¹⁹ Tell him, “This is what the Lord says: Have you murdered^(A) and also taken possession? ”^(B) Then tell him, “This is what the Lord says: In the place where the dogs licked up Naboth’s blood, the dogs will also lick up your blood! ” ’^(C)

³⁸ Then someone washed the chariot at the pool of Samaria. The dogs licked up his blood, and the prostitutes bathed in it, according to the word of the Lord that he had spoken.^(A)

³ ‘I will ordain four kinds^[a] of judgement for them’ – this is the Lord’s declaration – ‘the sword to kill, the dogs to drag away,^(A) and the birds of the sky and the wild animals of the land^(B) to devour and destroy.
