⁵⁰ Jehoshaphat rested with his ancestors and was buried with them in the city of his ancestor David.^(A) His son Jehoram^(B) became king in his place.

Israel’s King Ahaziah

⁵¹ Ahaziah^(C) son of Ahab became king over Israel in Samaria^(D) in the seventeenth year of Judah’s King Jehoshaphat,^(E) and he reigned over Israel for two years. ⁵² He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight.^(F) He walked in the ways of his father,^(G) in the ways of his mother,^(H) and in the ways of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.^(I)
