1 Maccabees 1:59-61

⁵⁹ And in the five and twentieth day of the month, they sacrificed on the (idol) altar, that was against (or on top of) the altar of God.

⁶⁰ And women, that circumcised their sons, were strangled, by [or after] (the) commandment of king Antiochus;

⁶¹ and they hanged (the) children by the necks, by all (the) houses of them, and strangled them that (had) circumcised them.
