⁵ ‘In peace,’ he replied. ‘I’ve come to sacrifice to the Lord. Consecrate yourselves^(A) and come with me to the sacrifice.’^[a] Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them to the sacrifice.

⁵ He said to them, ‘Hear me, Levites. Consecrate yourselves^(A) now and consecrate the temple of the Lord, the God of your ancestors. Remove everything impure from the holy place.
