1 Samuel 2:9-11

⁹ He guards the steps^[a] of his faithful ones,^(A)
but the wicked perish in darkness,^(B)
for a person does not prevail by his own strength.^(C)
10 Those who oppose the Lord will be shattered;^[b](D)
he will thunder in the heavens against them.^(E)
The Lord will judge the ends of the earth.^(F)
He will give power to his king;
he will lift up the horn of his anointed.^[c](G)
