⁷ But have nothing to do with pointless and silly myths.^(A) Rather, train yourself in godliness.^(B)

⁴ They will turn away from hearing the truth and will turn aside to myths.^(A)

¹⁴ and may not pay attention to Jewish myths^(A) and the commands of people who reject the truth.^(B)

¹⁶ For we did not follow cleverly contrived myths when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ;^(A) instead, we were eye-witnesses of his majesty.^(B)
