²¹ Baptism, which corresponds to this, ^(A)now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but ^(B)as an appeal to God for a good conscience, ^(C)through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, ²² who has gone into heaven and ^(D)is at the right hand of God, ^(E)with angels, authorities, and powers having been subjected to him.

4 Since therefore ^(F)Christ suffered in the flesh,^{[a] (G)}arm yourselves with the same way of thinking, for ^(H)whoever has suffered in the flesh ^(I)has ceased from sin, ^2 (J)so as to live for ^(K)the rest of the time in the flesh ^(L)no longer for human passions but ^(M)for the will of God.
