¹⁶ In the fifth year^(A) of Israel’s King Joram^(B) son of Ahab, Jehoram^[a](C) son of Jehoshaphat became king of Judah, replacing his father.^{[b](D) 17} He was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned for eight years in Jerusalem.^(E)
