Aram’s King Hazael

Elisha came to Damascus(A) while King Ben-hadad(B) of Aram was ill, and the king was told, ‘The man of God(C) has come here.’ So the king said to Hazael,(D) ‘Take a gift(E) with you and go and meet the man of God. Enquire of the Lord through him, “Will I recover from this sickness? ” ’(F)

Hazael went to meet Elisha, taking with him a gift: forty camel-loads of all the finest products of Damascus. When he came and stood before him, he said, ‘Your son,(G) King Ben-hadad of Aram, has sent me to ask you, “Will I recover from this sickness? ” ’
