2 Maccabees 15:30-32

³⁰ Forsooth Judas, that by all things in body and soul was ready for to die for (the) citizens, bade [or commanded], that the head of Nicanor, and (his) hand with the shoulder gird(ed) off, should be brought forth to Jerusalem.

³¹ Whither when he fully came, when men of his lineage were called together, and (the) priests to the altar, he called also them that were in the high tower.

³² And when the head of Nicanor was showed, and the cursed hand, which he holding forth against the holy house of Almighty God greatly gloried,
