⁴ David was thirty years old when he began his reign;^(A) he reigned for forty years.

¹⁰ Then David rested with his ancestors^(A) and was buried in the city of David.^{(B) 11} The length of time David reigned over Israel was forty years: he reigned for seven years in Hebron and thirty-three years in Jerusalem.^(C)
