Acts 11:22-30
New American Standard Bible
22 The [a]news about them [b]reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent (A)Barnabas off [c]to (B)Antioch. 23 Then when he arrived and [d]witnessed (C)the grace of God, he rejoiced and began to encourage them all with [e]resolute heart to remain true to the Lord; 24 for he was a good man, and (D)full of the Holy Spirit and faith. And [f](E)considerable numbers were added to the Lord. 25 And he left for (F)Tarsus to look for Saul; 26 and when he had found him, he brought him to (G)Antioch. And for an entire year they [g]met with the church and taught [h]considerable numbers of people; and (H)the disciples were first called (I)Christians in (J)Antioch.
27 Now [i]at this time some (K)prophets came down from Jerusalem to (L)Antioch. 28 One of them, named (M)Agabus, stood up and [j]indicated [k]by the Spirit that there would definitely be a severe famine (N)all over the [l]world. [m]And this took place in the reign of (O)Claudius. 29 And to the extent that any of (P)the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the [n]relief of (Q)the brothers and sisters living in Judea. 30 (R)And they did this, sending it [o]with (S)Barnabas and Saul to the (T)elders.
