⁵ But some of the believers who belonged to the party of the Pharisees stood up and said, ‘It is necessary to circumcise them and to command them to keep the law of Moses.’

³ Paul wanted Timothy to go with him; so he took him and circumcised^(A) him because of the Jews who were in those places, since they all knew that his father was a Greek.

²¹ But they have been informed about you – that you are teaching all the Jews who are among the Gentiles to abandon Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or to live according to our customs.^(A)

¹⁸ Was anyone already circumcised when he was called? He should not undo his circumcision. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? He should not be circumcised.

² Take note! I, Paul, am telling you that if you have yourselves circumcised, Christ will not benefit you at all.
