²³ Though he was delivered up according to God’s determined plan and foreknowledge, you used^[a] lawless people to nail him to a cross and kill him.^(A)

²⁷ ‘For, in fact, in this city both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed,^{(A) 28} to do whatever your hand and your will had predestined to take place.

²² And what if God, wanting to display his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience^(A) objects of wrath prepared for destruction?^(B)

⁷ What then? Israel did not find what it was looking for,^(A) but the elect did find it. The rest were hardened,^(B)

⁴ For some people, who were designated for this judgement long ago,^[a](A) have come in by stealth;^(B) they are ungodly,^(C) turning the grace of our God into sensuality and denying^(D) Jesus Christ, our only Master and Lord.
