Amos 1:2-4

^(A)“The Lord roars from Zion
    and utters his voice from Jerusalem;
^(B)the pastures of the shepherds mourn,
    and the ^(C)top of ^(D)Carmel withers.”

^(E)“For three transgressions of ^(F)Damascus,
    and for four, ^(G)I will not revoke the punishment,^[a]
because they have threshed ^(H)Gilead
    with threshing sledges of iron.
^4 (I)So I will send a fire upon the house of ^(J)Hazael,
    and it shall devour the strongholds of ^(K)Ben-hadad.
