Amos 5:8-10

⁸ The one who made the Pleiades and Orion,^(A)
who turns darkness^[a] into dawn^(B)
and darkens day into night,^(C)
who summons the water of the sea^(D)
and pours it out over the surface of the earth^(E) –
the Lord is his name.^(F)
9 He brings destruction^[b] on the strong,^[c],^(G)
and it falls on the fortress.^(H)

¹⁰ They hate the one who convicts the guilty^(I)
at the city gate,
and they despise^(J) the one who speaks with integrity.
