²⁷Tekel^[a]:
    You have been weighed on the scales and found not good enough.
²⁸Uparsin^[b]:
    Your kingdom is being taken from you.
    It will be divided among the Medes and Persians.”

²⁹Then Belshazzar gave an order for Daniel to be dressed in purple clothes. A gold chain was put around his neck, and he was appointed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.
