Deuteronomy 4:37-40

³⁷ Yes, because he loved your fathers and chose their descendants after them, he brought you out of Egypt by the great power of his Presence, ³⁸ driving out from your presence nations greater and stronger than you are, to bring you in, to give you their land as an inheritance, as it is this day. ³⁹ Therefore know this today and again take it to heart that the Lord is God in the heavens above and on the earth below. There is no other. ⁴⁰ Keep his statutes and his commandments that I am commanding you today, so that it may go well for you and for your children after you, and so that you may live long on the land^[a] that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.^[b]
