¹⁷ Do not show partiality when deciding a case;^(A) listen to small and great alike. Do not be intimidated by anyone, for judgement belongs to God.^(B) Bring me any case too difficult for you, and I will hear it.

¹⁷ For the Lord your God is the God of gods^(A) and Lord of lords,^(B) the great, mighty, and awe-inspiring God, showing no partiality and taking no bribe.^(C)

⁹ ‘So I in turn have made you despised^(A) and humiliated before all the people because you are not keeping my ways but are showing partiality in your instruction.’^(B)

¹⁶ So they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians.^(A) ‘Teacher,’ they said, ‘we know that you are truthful and teach truthfully the way of God. You don’t care what anyone thinks nor do you show partiality.^[a](B)
