²⁸ Where can we go? Our brothers have made us lose heart,^[a](A) saying: The people are larger and taller than we are; the cities are large, fortified to the heavens.^(B) We also saw the descendants of the Anakim^(C) there.”

²⁹ ‘So I said to you: Don’t be terrified or afraid of them!^{(D) 30} The Lord your God who goes before you^(E) will fight for you,^(F) just as you saw him do for you in Egypt.
