⁵ who does not lend his silver at interest^(A)
or take a bribe against the innocent^(B) –
the one who does these things will never be shaken.^(C)

¹¹ Her leaders issue rulings for a bribe,^(A)
her priests teach for payment,^(B)
and her prophets practise divination for silver.
Yet they lean on the Lord, saying,
‘Isn’t the Lord^(C) among us?
No disaster will overtake us.’

³ Both hands are good^(A) at accomplishing evil:
the official and the judge demand a bribe;^(B)
when the powerful man communicates his evil desire,
they plot it together.
