Gideon Spies on the Midianite Camp

⁹ That night the Lord said to him, ‘Get up and attack the camp, for I have handed it over to you.^(A)

¹⁹ Then David enquired of the Lord:^(A) ‘Should I attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me? ’

The Lord replied to David, ‘Attack, for I will certainly hand the Philistines over to you.’

¹⁰ so David enquired of God, ‘Should I attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me? ’

The Lord replied, ‘Attack, and I will hand them over to you.’
